Apprenticeships

Apprentices can be new or current employee. They are aged 16 or over and combine working with studying for a work-based qualification - from GCSE's or equivalent up to degree level. From 6 April 2017 the government introduced an Apprenticeship levy on all organisations in England, with a pay bill of over £3million and also a public sector duty to report on the Apprenticeship activity in the organisation. For information on whether or not you have to pay the levy and if you do, how to calculate it and a range of information on having apprentices in your school or academy please see below.
